This Privacy Policy describes how Mimic, a service of M3rcury Labs, Ltd. (“Mimic,” “we,” “us”), collects, uses, and protects information about the team members, clients, and creators who use our platform, including information related to our text-message (SMS) program.

Information we collect

• Contact details you provide, including your name, email address, and mobile phone number.
• Your consent status and preferences for receiving text messages and email.
• Account and usage data generated as you use the platform (tasks, reviews, messages, and related activity).

How we use information

• To operate the service and your account.
• To send transactional text messages and emails you have opted in to receive — account and invitation links, task and review notifications, delivery and approval alerts, and customer-care conversations.
• To honor opt-out requests and maintain compliance records.
• To secure the platform and comply with legal obligations.

Mobile information

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as our SMS provider (Twilio), is done solely to deliver messages you have requested, and those providers are contractually restricted from using the information for any other purpose. All other categories exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Instagram messages (creator partnerships)

Brands that use Mimic can connect their Instagram professional account so we can help them arrange gifted product shipments with creators. When you exchange direct messages with a connected brand account, we receive the following through Meta’s Instagram messaging API:

• Your Instagram-scoped ID (the identifier Meta assigns to your conversation with that brand), and your Instagram username and display name.
• The content of the direct messages exchanged between you and the brand’s account.
• Shipping details you choose to send in those messages, such as your name, mailing address, email address, and phone number.

We use this information only to arrange and ship the gifted product you agreed to receive, to send you your discount code, tracking link, and shipping updates, and to follow up about the partnership after delivery. After delivery we may also look at your public posts to see whether you have shared content featuring the product, so that follow-ups stop once you have. We process this information on behalf of the brand you are messaging. We do not sell it or use it for advertising, and we share it only with that brand and the service providers needed to fulfil your shipment, such as the brand’s online store and shipping carrier. Information received from Meta is handled in accordance with Meta’s Platform Terms.

We keep the message history and shipping details while the partnership is active and afterwards only as long as needed for the brand’s order, tax, and accounting records, then delete or de-identify them. To request deletion of your Instagram data, email hello@trymimic.ai with your Instagram username and the brand you messaged. We will delete your messages and shipping details, except records we are legally required to keep, and confirm by email once done.

Your choices and opting out

Message frequency varies and depends on your activity (for example, task assignments, reviews, or replies in a conversation). You can stop receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message; reply START to opt back in and HELP for assistance. You may also manage notification preferences in your account settings or by emailing us. Message and data rates may apply.

Data retention and security

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal, tax, and compliance requirements, then delete or de-identify it. We use industry- standard safeguards, including encryption of sensitive credentials at rest, to protect the information we hold.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
